This recipe focuses on flavorful taco meat, a versatile staple for tacos, burritos, and especially a satisfying taco bowl. It's quick to make, taking about 20 minutes for the whole bowl, and yields plenty of leftovers.
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once it’s hot, add in your ground beef. Break it up with a wooden spoon as it browns. Once the meat is almost fully browned, add in all the seasonings (chili powder, cumin, kosher salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper). If you like more “saucy” beef, prepare a slurry by mixing the optional flour (tapioca, corn starch, or regular) with water, add it to the beef, and let it simmer on low heat until the liquid dissolves (6-8 minutes). Remove the beef from the heat and immediately stir in the shredded Mexican cheese. Serve in a bowl with brown rice, shredded lettuce, pico de Gallo, avocado, Greek yogurt, pickled onions, cilantro, lime, hot sauce and @sietefoods chips.
